Shared with Me

1. Overview: What is the "Shared with Me" Panel?

The 'Shared with Me' panel is designed to help you:

  • Differentiate between your own documents and those shared with you.

  • Access key document details (e.g., shared date, due date).

  • Track new, unopened documents easily with a dynamic number indicator.

2. Navigating the “Shared with Me” Panel

Opening the Panel:

  • Click the 'Shared with Me' panel to view your shared documents.

  • The 'Shared with Me' text turns green to indicate it's active.

  • The 'My Workspace' text turns grey to show it's inactive.

3. Understanding the PDF List View

In the PDF List View, you'll see the following details for each shared document:

  • Document Name – Includes file format (e.g., PDF).

  • Document Status – Tracks progress (e.g., New, In Progress).

  • Shared By – Displays the name of the person who shared the document.

  • Shared Date – Date the document was shared with you.

  • Due Date – Displays if the primary user added a due date.

4. Sorting & Filtering Documents

You can sort documents by:

  • Document Status

  • Shared Date (Default)

  • Due Date

5. Tracking New Documents with the Numeric Indicator

A dynamic number appears next to the 'Shared with Me' panel to show how many new/unopened documents you have.
The number decreases by 1 each time you open a new document for the first time.

6. Document Status & Filtering

The Document Status dropdown offers these options:

  • New

  • In Progress

  • On Hold

  • Cancelled

  • Done

7. Removing Shared Documents

Steps to Remove a Document:

  1. Click the 3-dot radio button next to the document.

  2. Select 'Remove' from the dropdown.

  3. Confirm the removal in the 'Remove Document' modal.

8. Downloading Shared Documents

Steps to Download:

  1. Click the 3-dot radio button next to the document.

  2. Select 'Download' from the dropdown.

  3. The document will be downloaded immediately.

9. Managing Access Removal

If the primary user removes your access to a document:

  • The document will be removed from your Shared with Me panel in real time.

  • If you attempt to open a removed document, you’ll see this message:
    'Access removed. Unable to access the document.'

10. Helpful Tips & Best Practices

  • Always check the dynamic number for new shared documents.

  • Use the sorting and filtering options to quickly find documents you need.

  • For important deadlines, keep an eye on the Due Date column.
