Overview

The Comment Report feature in e-PlanVUE enables users to generate and download detailed reports containing document comments and markups. This guide walks you through the complete process in four simple steps.


Navigation: Accessing Comment Reports

  • Where to Find It: “Reports” is located as the third item in the left-side navigation panel of the e-PlanVUE interface.

  • Who Can Access: The Reports menu is available to all users, regardless of role.

  • Active State Styling: When selected, “Reports” is highlighted in green to indicate it is active.

  • No Available Documents: If you don’t have documents in My Workspace or Shared With Me, you will see:

    “No comment reports are available at this time.”


Step 1: Choose a Document

  1. Click on Reports in the navigation menu.

  2. You will be prompted to select a document for the report.

    • Allowed: Select one document only.

    • Not Allowed: Selecting multiple documents.

  3. If needed, you can search for a document using the search bar (top-right corner of the modal).

  4. Click Apply to proceed or Cancel to reset and remain in Step 1.

  5. If you want to reselect a document, click the document name again to reopen the file selection modal.

Important: The system will check the selected file for the presence of at least one markup/comment.

  • If none found: A message will appear indicating that no comments exist to generate a report.

  • If comments are present: You will proceed to Step 2.


Step 2: Apply Filter

  1. Choose one of the following filter options:

    • All Comments

    • My Comments Only

    • Other e-PlanVUE User Comments Only

  2. The "Generate Report" button is disabled until a filter is selected.

  3. Once selected, the button will turn green.

  4. You may also click:

    • Back to return to Step 1.

    • Cancel to reset and return to the beginning of the flow.


Step 3: Generate the Report

  1. Click Generate Report.

    • A spinner will appear to indicate progress.

  2. Outcomes:

    • Success:

      • A modal appears: “Report Created Successfully”

      • Options:

        • Download: Save the report to your Downloads folder.

        • Close: Returns you to the beginning of the report flow (Step 1).

    • Failure:

      • The screen resets to Step 1.

      • A message appears:

        “Report Generated Unsuccessfully. Please try again.”


Step 4: Download the Report

  • The report is generated in XLSX format.

  • It is saved to your computer’s Downloads folder.

  • All data is 100% editable once opened in Excel.
